In early December 2011, Clark Rigging and Rental was hired by Burkhalter
Rigging to load a 262,000 lb recycle gas compressor skid onto a barge in the
Port of Buffalo for shipment. The final destination and customer would be
BP Toledo with the compressor being a vital piece of equipment in the
refining process. Clark Rigging utilized both our 400 and 600 ton
Terex-Demag hydraulic cranes to perform the lift. With the help of 3Dlift
plan software a detailed site diagram and rigging plan were created to
satisfy the required safety parameters put in place by Burkhalter and BP.
On a cold but bright sunny Sunday morning, Clark Rigging performed the
tandem crne lift in flawless fashion and all parties involved were very
pleased.
